One Central, DHA Lahore

The market is not imaginary. Zameen has given this project its own location page. Nine or ten plots are listed on it right now. Two-kanal residential plots are being asked at sixteen to seventeen and a half crore, four kanal at thirty-five to thirty-six, and eight-marla commercial at twenty-seven to thirty-eight crore. The oldest listing we found is about two years old, so the name has been trading since around 2024. Zameen files it under DHA Phase 8.

Dealers place it at the Abdullah Gul Interchange on the Lahore Ring Road, opposite Askari 10, about five kilometres from the airport, on the Barki Road side. They describe a gated mixed-use scheme with two-kanal residential plots in a GOR block, eight-marla commercial and condominiums.

• DHA's joint-venture page — the golf course and the theme park are listed. One Central is not.
• DHA's own site search — no result at all.
• The national newspapers — Dawn, Business Recorder, The News, the Express Tribune. Nothing, anywhere.
• A developer's name. Not one source anywhere names the company building it.
• A brochure, a press release, a launch date, a groundbreaking, or any photograph of construction.

First, the name is not settled. Some sources say One Central. Others say One Central Vista. A project that has been selling for two years does not usually have two names.

Second, nobody agrees who is behind it. Some blogs call it a DHA project. The same blogs elsewhere say it is being built by DHL, an independent authority, not DHA. There is no institution in Pakistan called DHL or Defence Housing Lahore that we could trace. That looks like something invented for search engines rather than a real body.

Third, the project's own web address now forwards to a dealer's website — and that website carries no notice saying it is not DHA. A buyer who types the project name into a browser lands on an agent's page believing it is official.

On its own home page, DHA Lahore states that it categorically disowns all advertisements, pricing, instalment plans, booking offers and ballot details circulating on social media or through unauthorised sources. That notice is not about this project specifically — DHA has not mentioned this project at all. But it is DHA's own standing position, and it is the position that applies to anything DHA has not published itself.

• Go to a DHA office in person and ask them, by plot number, what that plot is and who is allotted it.
• Ask for the name of the developing company, in writing, and then look that company up yourself.
• Ask what approval the scheme holds, from which authority, and on what date.
• Do not accept a printed brochure as proof. Anybody can print one.
• If the answer is that DHA knows nothing about it, that is your answer.

We are not saying this project is a fraud. We are saying we could not verify it, and we are showing you exactly where we looked. That is a different statement, and it is the honest one. If DHA publishes something about it tomorrow, we will rewrite this page the same day.
