A DHA Lahore price turned into the currency you earn in — at the rate your own bank gives you, not a headline rate.

When to use it
For Pakistanis abroad, who think in dirhams, pounds, riyals or dollars and have to decide whether a Lahore price is large or small.
02
Every field, explained
| Price in rupees (Rs) | The asking price of the plot or house. |
| Rupees per 1 unit of your currency | The rate your own bank or exchange is actually giving you today. Not the rate on the news — that is the interbank rate and you will not get it. |
| Size (marla) — optional | Fill it and you also get the per-marla figure, which is the only honest way to compare two plots of different sizes. |
03
How the answer is worked out
- The price is divided by your exchange rate to give the amount in your own currency.
- If you entered a size, the price is also divided by the marla figure to give a per-marla rate in rupees.
- That per-marla rate is then converted too, so you can compare plots the way the market does — by the marla, not by the total.
A worked example
| Price | Rs 3 crore |
| Rate | Rs 76 per AED |
| Size | 10 marla |
| In your currency | about AED 394,700 |
| Per marla | Rs 30 lakh · about AED 39,470 |
The per-marla figure is the one to carry around. It lets you compare a 5 marla plot in one phase with a 1 kanal plot in another without doing any arithmetic in your head.

Mistakes people make
- Using the interbank rate from a news site. The rate you are given is always worse, sometimes by two or three rupees.
- Forgetting the transfer fee your bank charges on the remittance itself.
- Comparing totals instead of per-marla rates. A cheaper total often just means a smaller plot.
05
What it does not do
- It does not carry live exchange rates. We do not publish a rate that moves every hour and that you would not receive anyway.
- It does not include remittance charges or the spread your bank takes.
- It knows nothing about tax in the country you are sending from.
06
Questions
- Why don't you fetch the rate automatically?
- Which currencies does it support?
Because the rate on a screen is not the rate you get. Your own bank's rate, today, is the only figure that will match your statement.
All of them — it never asks which one you mean. You supply the rate, so the answer is in whatever currency that rate belongs to.
