Why this one is worth a page
Because it is the control case. Almost every other joint venture on this hub is either unbuilt, unannounced, or attached to a company with no public trace. Carrefour is the opposite: the agreement was signed on a stated date, reported the same day by national newspapers with the names of the people who signed it, and the store was trading in Phase 7 within about eighteen months.
Keep that shape in mind when you read the other pages here. A real DHA joint venture leaves a trail: a dated agreement, a press announcement, a named company, and a building. Where three of those four are missing, the page says so.
What it did for Phase 7
Phase 7 has no mall, no cinema and no corporate tower. Its commercial is street-level plazas and shops — clothing, jewellery, furniture, hardware, electronics. Carrefour at Plot 111, Sector T is the phase's one anchor, and for a phase where roughly half the plots are still unbuilt, an anchor that brings people in every week is worth more than another row of shops.
