Oval Complex, Phase 9 Prism

Two different things share this name, and confusing them costs money — a live commercial market where plots change hands, and a large DHA parcel where nothing has been agreed.

First, the spelling

DHA's own website writes it Ovel Complex. Everyone in the market writes Oval. It is DHA's typo, carried forward on its own pages. We are printing both here so that a search on either spelling finds this page — but if you are reading a DHA document, expect Ovel.

The part that is alive

The Oval in Phase 9 Prism is a working commercial area, not a plan. Its plots are four marla each, they have been sold, and they change hands on the open market — around forty are listed for sale as we write this. Zameen treats DHA Phase 9 Prism Oval Complex as a location in its own right, which is what happens when enough people buy and sell in one place.

Dealers place it at the junction of blocks D, E, M and N and call it the biggest oval commercial in Lahore. They put the count at around two hundred and ninety-eight plots, roughly sixty kanal. That is agents' description, not DHA's record — we are marking it as such.

The part that is still empty

On DHA's mixed-use joint-venture list there is a parcel of 97 kanal in Sector OC, plot 153/2, with a map pin on DHA's own page. No partner has been signed for it, no plan has been published, no tender issued and no brochure exists. DHA says only what it wants the land used for: mixed use, on a joint venture or a build-operate-transfer basis.

One thing we deliberately do not know, and will not guess: whether that 97 kanal is the inner core of the oval or land around its edge. No source says. If you are buying a 4-marla plot here because of what might be built in the middle, that uncertainty is yours to weigh, and you should weigh it knowing that DHA has named no partner.

The rest of Phase 9 Prism's empty land

Phase 9 Prism carries more unbuilt joint-venture land than any other phase of DHA Lahore — thirty-three parcels and about one thousand three hundred and eighty-eight kanal, which is over forty per cent of everything DHA is offering anywhere. Eighteen of those parcels are reserved for schools.

Sector Q's possession opened on 13 May 2022, and in May 2026 DHA opened possession for Sectors A, J, L and M as well. So Prism is filling up around this land, which is exactly when an empty commercial core starts to matter.

Common questions

Is it Oval or Ovel?

DHA's website writes Ovel; the market writes Oval. It is DHA's own typo. Both refer to the same place in Sector OC, Phase 9 Prism.

Can I buy a plot in the Oval Complex?

Yes — 4-marla commercial plots are traded there and around forty are listed at any time. The 97-kanal DHA parcel is a separate thing, offered only to a joint-venture partner, not sold as plots.

What will be built on the 97 kanal?

DHA has not said, beyond marking it for mixed use. No partner is signed, no plan is published and no tender has been issued.
