What is inside

  • Swimming pools — separate for men and ladies
  • Gym — separate for men and ladies
  • Lawn tennis — six grass courts and two hard courts
  • A nine-hole mini golf course
  • Squash courts and a badminton court
  • Billiards, and a card room
  • Chinese, Italian, Moroccan and continental restaurants, a BBQ restaurant, a coffee shop and a pastry shop
  • A library, lobbies and community halls
  • Guest rooms — a member can book them for visitors

The mini golf course and the grass tennis courts exist at no other DHA club. If those matter to you, this is the only address.

The halls, and what they hold

These are dinner and function rooms, not wedding halls. The banquet and community halls are run by an outside caterer. For a large wedding DHA's own answer is elsewhere — three halls of five hundred each in Phase 5.

HallCapacity
Golf View Hall110 persons
Banquet Hall70 persons
Sitting Lounge, ground floor80 to 90 persons
Executive Lounge, first floor60 persons

A wedding-venue website lists this club at a starting rate with a capacity of five hundred. DHA's own figures say the largest room here holds a hundred and ten. We are not repeating that rate, because the listing is probably a different venue nearby.

One thing DHA does say about the fee

Senior citizens get fifty per cent off — on the membership fee, on the monthly subscription, on the sports facilities, and they get a designated space in the car park. That is DHA's own published policy, and it is the only fee-related figure DHA publishes for this club.

Membership figures of around a million rupees turn up in searches for this club. They belong to Defence Raya Golf and Country Club, which is a different place with a different fee. Do not apply them here.

Read that last row again. The club DHA is building in Phase 6 is larger than all four existing clubs put together, and more than twice the size of the biggest one it has.

What DHA does not publish

DHA Lahore publishes no membership fee, no club timings, no dress code and no guest policy for its clubs on any page of its own website. Its own FAQ answers the membership question with one line: visit the club, or call. We have printed the phone numbers instead of inventing the rest.

You will find fee figures for DHA clubs on other websites. Nearly all of them belong to a different club than the one the page is about. We checked, and we say on each page which club a number actually belongs to.

Common questions

Is the Defence Club J Sector still open?

Yes. DHA Lahore's own clubs page lists it as an active club with working phone numbers, and no closure or renovation notice has appeared for it.

What does membership cost?

DHA does not publish a figure for this club. Its own answer is to visit the club or call 042-39264413 or 042-35723984. Senior citizens get fifty per cent off whatever the figure is.

Which DHA club is the biggest?

Today this one, at 74 kanal. But Defence Revelation Club in Phase 6, still under construction, is 171 kanal — it will take that title when it opens.
